Project Description:

The project consisted of over 33 sub projects, with the main objective being the elimination of existing gaps in water supply and wastewater systems in particular:

  • Supply of drinking water to the inhabitants of Gdansk;
  • Improvement of wastewater management;
  • Development of sustainable, economic and environmentally acceptable long term sludge management systems;
  • Connection of nearly all water intakes to the main distribution systems to improve security of operations;
  • Extension of sewerage network of Gdansk.

The project included Environmental Impact Assessment and preparation of Environmental Action Plan.
