Project Description:
The key objective of the project included sanitation and water supply rehabilitation in North-eastern of Guatemala, cities of Livingston (Izabal) and Esquipulas (Chiquimula).
The turn-key project was divided in two main works:
- The first work was carried out in the Municipality of Livingston and included the drilling of a 200 m well, pumping equipment for two wells, main pipes, distribution tank of a capacity of 380 m3, and its connection to the municipal network. It also included implementation of the sewage system, installation and supply of 600 septic tanks and absorption tank, installation of 1000 water metres. In addition, pumping stations, chlorination equipment, power generators and accessory facilities were also subject of implementation;
- The second main work affecting the Municipality of Esquipulas, consisted of the installation of water catchments in the river and main pipe along 19 km leading to a water treatment plant and two water tanks connected to the water supply network.
