Project Description:

The project’s general objective was to improve quality of life of the population settled in Parroquia Catia La Mar. The specific objective of the project was diminishing the vulnerability of people and goods towards the threats coming from hydro- geological processes as well as assuring the environmental improvement and the enforcing life conditions of people.

The project included the following activities:

  • Institutional and Civil Society strengthening;
  • Elaboration of information campaigns to improve civil society participation and non – structural prevention system implementation;
  • Training and dissemination of best practice for social development;
  • Design and installation of the drainage system in formal and non formal areas;
  • Construction of the engineering infrastructures.
