Project Description:

The general objective of the project was to stimulate the social and economical development in the area, involving returnees and residents, and the consolidation of a more equal social structure, removing the differences between the returnees and the residents and promoting social inclusion on the labour market for vulnerable groups through the improvement of professional education.

The specific objective was the implementation of an adequate agricultural system and the creation of a commercial network through the concession of micro – credits that helped the returnees to be integrated into civil society.

The final objective of the project was the improvement of the population’s life quality: increase of families’ incomes, development of a self-sufficient economy through the creation of aid schemes for micro-enterprises, basic infrastructures construction and development of social services.

Specific activities of the project included:

  • Elaboration of measures for the improvement of productivity;
  • TA for the social organization management:: Integration of minorities into the civil society, municipal institutions strengthening;
  • Improvement of Education and professional learning systems: literacy programs, life- long learning programs and professional formation;
  • Development of an environmental management plan;
  • Micro-enterprises financial and commercial support;
  • Development of micro-credit systems for micro-enterprises support;
  • Specific actions for the integration of vulnerable groups into the society: ethnic minorities, women and children;
  • Construction of basic infrastructure: water systems, roads and socio-cultural centres.
