Project Description:
The aim of the project is to improve the institutional capacity of labour market management and employment service delivery at national, entity and sub-entity levels and also to strengthen the human resource capacities and make the labour market work effectively, therefore to contribute to the overall development of society and to the promotion of economic and social cohesion. The expected impact is a reduction of unemployment rates and the duration of unemployment and a more inclusive society.
Within the project, direct assistance will be provided through the following concrete activities:
- Establishing effective labour market management system at national, entity, canton and Brcko District level, including adopting of labour market policy in line with EU standards at all government levels;
- Strengthening budget preparation mechanism in institutions at all government levels (state, entity, canton, and Brcko District) responsible for LME policy;
- Improving employment service delivery at local employment offices level;
- Strengthening capacities of the staff of employment services at all levels;
- Designing of a performance monitoring system of labour market services established at all government levels; and
- Development of an appropriate methodology for effective monitoring and evaluation of labour market programmes at all government levels;
