On June 25, 2009 EPTISA started with the implementation of the project ‘Support to the Elaboration of Hydrology Plan for the Bosnia River Basin – Hydrodynamic mathematical model’.
The project was supported by the Spanish Agency for International Co-operation (AECI) with the total budget of €160,000.
During the following months, EPTISA will support the protection and management of the Bosnia river basin through implementation of a hydrodynamic mathematical model of propagation of water waves and an advection-dispersion model for the analysis of incidental pollutions along the watercourse of the Bosnia River.
Specifically, the Consultant will perform Integrated Water Resources Management and River Basin data collection, the integration of hydrodynamic models with information systems, hydrological studies to allow the estimation of the water flows, and the hydraulic study for calculation of the reachable levels of the flows locations.
EPTISA will also develop Digital Land Model and Orthophotos, create a water quality model to address solutions to the identified needs based on using HEC-RAS model as a general platform for modelling, as well as organise a study tour and trainings for project beneficiaries.
