Project Team of EPTISA has successfully completed first Study Visit to Berlin and Potsdam from 22nd – 25th February, 2010 organised within the EU-funded project “Sector Wide Approach in Health: Feasibility Study and Mapping”.
During the study tour beneficiary institutions (Ministry of Health, Institute of Public Health, Municipal representatives, etc.) had a unique opportunity to get familiar with the mechanisms of the German health systems management at the national and district levels, coordination of the public health sector, health insurance and health financing mechanisms, as well as quality control of health services.
The study tour was hosted by the German Federal Ministry of Health, Ministry of Health of Brandenburg, Municipal Health Department of Potsdam, Federal Office of the AOK Health Insurance, and International Institute for Comparative Social Research.
The programme of the second study tour is being developed and will focus on Health Information System, as one of the project components. Planned schedule for this study tour is late March/beginning of April 2010 where brief study tour report will be presented.
