Project Description:

Provision of Sanitary and water supply services in Ciudad Sandino, one of the municipalities of the outskirts of Managua, as well as in other suburbs of the peripheric areas of Managua. The project included technical assistance, construction of social infrastructures, local development, and institutional strengthening.

The project included the following:

  • To adapt drinking water services and drainage to demand;
  • Housing rehabilitation and construction;
  • Institutional support for the ENACAL and INAA Authorities and for the Municipality of Ciudad Sandino;
  • Institutional Strengthening of Solid Waste Management in Ciudad Sandino;
  • Support to local enterprises in social and economic development.
