Project Description:

The main objective of the project was to elaborate a joint air quality management programme for the Romanian Region along the Bulgarian border of the Lower Danube river.

The project aimed at four specific objectives:

• Assessment of existing air quality equipment, data and existing modelling facilities;
• Air Emission Reduction Strategy;
• Financial and analysis and cost benefit evaluation for the air emission reduction strategy;
• Dissemination of Information and training.
