Project Description:
The overall objective of the project is to assist Serbian authorities to increase share of renewable sources in the production of electricity. The purpose of this project is to promote investment in renewable energy projects in Serbia by:
- Providing technical assistance to the Ministry of Mining and Energy to enable them to grant the concessions for renewable energy projects specified and prepare necessary secondary legislation, proposal for feed-in tarrif and model power purchase agreement, and
- Project preparation for concrete investment projects in small scale hydro power generation.
Types of services provided:
- Analysis of legislation and secondary legislation regarding renewable energy, concessions, etc;
- Review of the EU directives concerning renewable energy generation;
- Preparation of the secondary legislation;
- Preparation of feed-in tariff;
- Preparation of model power purchase agreement;
- Preparation of concession package;
- Renewable energy project development (list of potential SHPP locations and selection of sites, pre-feasibility studies, preliminary environmental impact assessment, economic and financial analysis);
- Organisation of workshops with main stakeholders;
- Project coordination and backstopping.
