Project Description:

The main objective of the project was to recommend the procedure to supply drinking water to the Military Air Base of Moron through the construction of new wells or the rehabilitation of the previous ones to the groundwater resources.

The works included the following activities:

  • Estimation of the Ground Water Resources and design of the pumping stations;
  • Building of new wells for the supply of drinking water: Design and Supervision of works;
  • Construction of the new wells and integration into the supply network of the military base.

Types of services provided included:

  • Documental review of all hydrogeological information, and evaluation of the information;
  • Elaboration of hydrogeological stydy of evaluation of the information and elaboration of a document base;
  • Definition of the situation of supply wells and piezometer;
  • Drilling and installation of 5 new wells and 16 piezometers and reviewing of previous infrastructures;
  • Development of pumping tests and quality core sampling;
  • Updating of the data, estimating the ground water flows and the proportion of the pumping stations.
